Tencent is a pioneer in China’s digital economy and a member of the Fortune Global 500. AAG Aluminum is honored to collaborate with this global internet giant and provide aluminum extrusion materials for this project. The Shenzhen Tencent Digital Building project, which is built by China Construction Third Engineering Division and participated by China Construction Installation, has been completed. It is located in the Qianhai Free Trade Zone in Shenzhen, with a total construction area of about 285,000 square meters, including two super-high towers of 230 meters and 155 meters, five ancillary commercial villas, and various business forms such as grade-A office buildings, commercial exhibition halls, and restaurants. As a key industrial project in Qianhai, a core CBD landmark building in Guibay district, it will further enhance the leading role of the commercial strong district in the Bay Area and help Qianhai build a world-class landmark business circle.
The architectural design of this project is handled by KPF, while the deepening and implementation of the curtain wall design is undertaken by Fangda Construction Science and Technology Group, one of the top domestic curtain wall brands, which uses AAG Aluminum Profiles, a well-known domestic brand, for its curtain wall system materials.
The building takes cues from the serrated architectural profile for its design. The building’s shape is inspired by “crystal,” with the entire facade comprised of dozens of large and small oblique cuts. At the same time, five auxiliary commercial villas are located around the podium and sunken plaza, each with a unique oblique facade system made up of various features. The total area of the facade is approximately 110,000 square meters, with large areas of folded glass panels being used in an orderly manner for better lighting and interaction. The construction process uses a frameless technique, greatly enhancing the viewing effect of the facade and making the entire building complex highly technological.
